About Me
My name is Leah Campbell Badertscher and I’m the owner and founder of Renascence, a personal coaching and creativity consulting company. I have a degree in Finance and my J.D. (both from the University of Iowa), I’m a certified Transformative Mediator, a mind/body instructor (yoga and Pilates), and a Certified Life Coach (through Brooke Castillo’s The Life Coach School). I’m also a painter, writer, wife, and mother of two beautiful little boys. I have only three decades of life experience under my belt, but my friends and clients often describe me as an old soul or, even, an eighty year old woman in a thirty year old body (I do believe they mean this in the best way possible!).
I work with individuals and organizations, helping them access and unleash their potential in order to create extraordinarily successful careers* while living rich, meaningful lives.
*It should be noted that I define “career” as one’s work over the trajectory of their life. Whether you work in an office, in industry, are an entrepreneur, a professor, an artist, an attorney, or a mother or father staying home to raise your family – whatever it may be, it is extremely empowering and gratifying to know that your “career” is not just your day job, but it is the personal meaning and purpose you bring to whatever you choose to do with “your one wild and precious life!”
I’m also known as the Soul Genius Coach. The work my clients and I do is fun, meaningful, deep, can feel like magic, and best of all, it works. What we unearth beneath your surface and what you do when you unleash that potential will astound you and change your life.
My particular areas of fascination are how to heal depression on one’s own terms (based on my own experience of healing a deep depression) and genius. For the past several years I’ve been studying human potential, how to elicit and nurture genius, particularly a brand of genius that I refer to as soulful and/or creative genius. Soulful, creative genius seems to transcend cleverness or even intellectual brilliance and is driven by and/or drawn from a deeper and more holistic well of wisdom, reality, truth, being. It is work that is not only masterful but also has the mark (“you know it when you see it”) of being daemonized or Inspired.
It’s my intention as a coach, mentor, and mediator to help people connect to their Truth and their potential, heal painful, limiting stories, and live deeply meaningful, hugely beautiful, and wildly successful lives. I love working with people who have a deep hunger to live with integrity and part of living that truth for them is acknowledging that they just know something GREAT wants to be born through them. The next part of the process is allowing that and actively helping bring it into being in a way that is deeply committed to truth and integrity, meaningful, financially rewarding, and, ideally, also a lot of fun!
I offer hourly coaching, a six-week program (and longer), workshops, and my first retreat was held this August on Lake Michigan (the Michigan side). It was a wonderful success and plans for the next are currently in the works.
